The QSpex® Premium Lens System
Quick, simple and easy to operate.
The QSpex® System is quick, simple and so easy to operate that no special skills are needed. Since all lens treatment have been pre-applied to the molds, just take the following steps to produce the premium high quality lens of your choice:
- Enter the desired prescription into the provided web based program.
- Select the correct molds as indicated by the QSpex®-provided web based
program and pick from the mold inventory which is pre-packed in the
supplied mold cabinet. - Verify that the correct molds have been selected by scanning the mold
envelope's bar codes with the bar code scanner which is supplied with the system. - Place the unit dose resin package (contains enough resin for 2 lenses) into
the resin filling unit. - Remove the molds from the envelopes and simply push the front mold into
the spacer pre-attached to the back mold. - If the prescription is a polarized or progressive lens and includes cylinder,
turn the front mold to the proper axis using the protractor included on the
lens spacer. - Insert the resin filling tube into the port on the mold spacer.
- Fill the mold cavity with resin using the resin filling unit.
- Place the filled mold assembly into the curing unit and close the door which
automatically activates the 10-minute curing cycle. (The curing unit
automatically turns off after the 10-minute cycle.) - Remove the mold assembly from the curing unit at the operator's leisure and
remove the front and back mold with the simple to use hand held mold opener
tool supplied with the system. - Place the lenses into the annealing chamber on top of the curing unit and
start the 20-minute annealing timer which automatically shuts off in 20 minutes. - Remove the lenses from the annealing unit at the operator's leisure after the
20-minute annealing cycle is complete. - Lenses are ready to edge whenever time permits.
